SARAH CROKER - BIO
Born and raised in Tipperary, Ireland, Sarah Croker has a smooth acoustic music style with an appeal to a diverse audience. Sarah's sound is thought provoking, creates a heart warming ambience and promises to take you on a journey of the heart, leading some to tears but most to warmth and laughter.
In Ireland, Sarah studied Music Management & Sound Engineering in Cork. She has performed on television and on numerous radio shows. Her day job working with the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind was quite demanding although rewarding. "I found that I couldn't fit my music into my work schedule so I had to make a very tough decision. Working with blind and visually impaired people was an amazing experience that showed me how much of a gift it is to wake up every morning to see the faces of the ones we love". Where it all began
From a family of four brothers (John, Mike, Eddie Seamus) and two sisters (Joan & Lorraine) the Crokers were locally known to be a very musical and artistic family. Joan (Sarah's big sis) currently resides in Germany where she performs and teaches Irish Traditional, Folk and World Music.
"Joan was certainly my first musical inspiration, I looked up to her outstanding abilities as a performer and singer. When we manage to land on the same continent we love to swap songs and stories from our travels".
Sarah & Joan are currently planning a tour in the U.S. in August. Check out Joan Croker's website… www.joancroker.com
Sarah's cousin Joe Croker is an outstanding singer songwriter, currently resides in Nashville and is no stranger to the world famous Bluebird Café. Joe released a formal debut ("All the Pretty Girls") produced by Bonnie Raitt sideman George Marinelli. "Shame Shame Shame" became available in the summer of 2004. Check out www.joecroker.com
